Fresh Baked Brownies 2/15/11

I am so so sorry that I am so behind on my post! I have had this nasty flu bug for a few days, and I am just NOW feeling like maybe I can do something other than sleep and feel sorry for myself. :)

The first kit that came out this week is "Best Wishes" by Angie from Down This Road Designs.



Angie actually let us in on this kit as she was building it! She showed us the pictures that inspired the color palette, and then we got to see the papers and elements that followed. It was SO FUN to watch the kit just come to life! I LOVE this kit, and am so excited to use it over and over again.

I have had this picture of Keric for several months now, and just never really had a kit that I thought went with it. This kit seemed to just FIT! It was so fun to actually get to scrap this memory.

The next kit is "Memory Lane" by Bethany aka Scrappin Daisy.



A few weeks ago, my husband and I decided to take the kids Bowling one weekend. It was the first time Keric had ever been, and he LOVED it! In fact I really need to take him again sometime soon. :) He still talks about it! We took TONS of pictures, and when I got home, I realized, I didn't have a Bowling kit to scrap the pictures with!! So I asked Bethany if she would be interested in MAKING one...and thankfully she thought it was a great kit idea, and "Memory Lane" was born!

I have SO MANY pictures to scrap still, but here is one layout that I have finished.

Fresh Baked Brownies 2/8/2011

Are you ready for your Fresh Baked Brownies this week?

First up is "Luxury" from Jacabean Designs. This kit is a part of her "Essence of Colors" series.



Of course I LOVE this kit because it is purple, and purple is just my absolute favorite color! This kit was perfect to scrap my brand new fresh water pearls with since the pearls were so dark...they were almost purple!



Next up is Mara Scraps with her kit "Remember Me".



I love the colors in this kit! You can almost do a totally monochromatic layout with this kit if you wanted to, or you can make it more colorful. It's very versatile! I decided to play on the Yellow in my son's shirt with this layout, and make the shirt kind of be the focal point. This kit was perfect for that!



Next is a Hybrid Project from Wendy Bird Designs. I'm still kind of a beginner when it comes to Hybrid, but I'm learning to really love it, and Wendy's templates are SO EASY to use! She makes Hybrid projects seem so simple! :)





This is her Cut-Down Card and I used Ramona's kit "I Still Love You" which also comes out today.





The next kit I have to show you is from Flutterbye Faery Designs called "All in Love". This is the PERFECT Valentines Day kit.



Full of hearts, red, black and pink! It's a great kit to scrap those you love, and all those Valentine day Memories. It would also be an awesome kit to make your OWN Valentines with too. You could use Wendy's card templates! :)

Fresh Baked GingerScrap Friday

Did you notice that I have a new blinkie on the side of my blog??

A few weeks ago I received an e-mail from the CT-lead over at GingerScraps telling me that they really liked my Gallery and she wanted to know if I would consider joining the GingerScraps Store CT.

I was totally SHOCKED! When I put my layouts up around "digi-land" I almost don't expect anyone to even notice them, but apparently, I caught their eye. :) So...I decided that I would join! :) I'm probably totally insane for taking on another STORE CT, but I just couldn't say no. :)

I "officially" started February 1st, and have already gotten to play with a new kit called "My Family, My Heart".



This kit is the February Daily Download that you can download a part of the kit each day, or you can buy the full kit HERE.

I have to say that I fell in love with the colors in this kit! I LOVE Blue and Brown together, and their shades of blue are just so rich and pretty! It makes for a great "boy" kit!! ;)

Fresh Baked Brownies 2/1

Wow! It's already February!?! Well I can't think of a better way to start a month off than with Fresh Baked Brownies! Can you? :)

YEA! It's FINALLY Tuesday!!

I never thought Tuesday would be a day I looked forward to, but for the last few weeks...it's one of my very favorite days of the week now!

WHY??? Well...if you read my blog very much you will know that Tuesday is the day when all the fun new kits at Brownie Scraps are released AND the ONLY day that they are 25% off!

So here are a few of the new kits for this week that I got to play with.

The first one is "Sweet Nothings" by Angie from Down This Road Designs.



This is truly the ultimate Valentine's Day kit and Chocolate Lovers kit! I love the pink and browns together, and little chocolate elements, are just way too cute!



I also got to play with Ramona's "Farm Country" kit and her Volume Three Templates pack.





I absolutely ADORE both of these kits! I can't say enough about how CUTE this farm kit is! It almost makes me want to MOVE to a farm just so I can scrap more pictures with it! :)

The Templates are wonderful as well. I love the clusters and white space available in these templates. I will be using them again for sure! :)

Fresh Baked Brownies

Tomorrow is Brownie Scraps "Fresh Baked Brownie" day! What does that mean? Well... it means that all the new kits that are coming out this week, are 25% off for that day ONLY!

First up is Jacabean's "Exquisite".



This kit is a lot like her "Elegance" kit, which if you are like me...you just absolutely ADORE! This kit is monochromatic, and makes some AMAZING winter layouts!

I love this kit!! The colors are so fun, and perfect for little boys or little girls!

Thankfully my little monkey has NOT found the scissors YET, but I loved this kit so much I re-did his "first haircut" layout.

When I saw this kit I immediately thought of Keric and our little dog Chompie. They have always been the best little pals and I am so thankful that they have each other. Sometimes the days get kind of lonely being an "only child" and I'm glad he has a buddy to play with.

CT Call

Aw January! The month of change, goals, resolutions, COLD! Did you make any resolutions this year? I always make them...it's the keeping them that I have a problem with!

Were any of your resolutions have anything to do with Scrapbooking? One of mine did. I want to learn new things, and become better at creating kits. I would love to one day sell my kits somewhere, but I don't know that right now is the best time to be doing that. My little man doesn't have as much patience with me on the computer as he used to, and I'm just so slow at making them! :)

So what were your resolutions? Was one of them to join a CT? I HOPE it was! If you haven't joined one yet, you really need to! Being on a CT has improved my scrapping skills a lot! It's also given me confidence in my scrapping abilities, and I have met some AMAZING people! Women that I truly consider wonderful friends! :)

So...I have some GREAT news for you!! Jackie and Angie are having a Guest CT Call, and they are looking for YOU! :) Jackie and Angie are the designers that I started out with. Jackie gave me my very FIRST CT position! I had applied to LOTS of designers, and was so tired of getting turned down. Jackie gave me a chance, and for that I will be forever grateful! :)

Jackie and Angie are so fun to work with! Being on their CT isn't stressful, it's FUN! We have an amazing team, and you already KNOW how amazing their kits are!

So what do you have to lose?? The call is for 3 months starting in February and going until April. There are 2 different teams you can apply for. The Digi Scrapping Team:

Oh my goodness! I am so glad that the Holiday's are over and that I can finally get back to my routine! I apologize for the lack of posts this last month!
